Lumpwood is made from 100% totally natural wood that has been burned down to charcoal. It is generally the chefs choice for cooking as it offers a totally natural cook with high intense heat. The pieces of our charcoals range from 3cm -20cm in the bag to allow for the home BBQ to the professional kitchens. The species used are a mix of dense hardwoods such as oak to ensure the best quality of lumpwood with a longer burn and more intense heat. We offer our lumpwood in 4kg, 8kg and 15kg bags.
Briquettes are compressed from natural wood and natural starch binding agents to give a steady and consistent cooking heat. Our briquettes are quick to reach cooking temperatures and long lasting for up to 180-210 minutes. Briquettes offer a more consistent cooking temperature across the grilling area, giving best cooking results for both the home BBQ and professional kitchens. We offer our briquettes in 8kg & 4kg bags.
Our smoking chips are the last piece in the BBQ puzzle as they should be used over charcoals or cooking woods. These can be soaked and then sprinkled over the coals or woods, or even better put in a smoking box and placed directly on the coals or woods. The chips will crate instant smoke for your food, and with the different flavours of chips this will give a distinct smoky flavour.
