What Is Lump Wood Made From?

Our lump wood charcoal is made from high-quality wood sharing similar properties to oak & beech. These are then cut into large chunks and burned in an oxygen-controlled kiln. By doing this, all of the moisture and impurities are removed from the wood, leaving behind high-density charcoal that burns at a high temperature for a long time, leaving behind minimal ash and sparks.

Can Lump Wood Charcoal Be Used On Any Type Of Grill?

Yes, lump wood charcoal can be used on any type of grill, including long cookers, gas grills, charcoal grills, and Kamado grills – although you may need to adjust your cooking method. For example, if you’re on a gas grill, it might be necessary to use a charcoal basket or deflector plate to recreate the heat of a traditional charcoal grill.
