Olive Wood Sack Barrow Bag

Volume 0.30m3 loose logs. Convenient to move using a sack barrow.

Olive Firewood Barrow Bag, 10-25cm cut Logs. The filled loose volume of the bag is 0.30 m2. Equivalent to 10-11 of our Olive firewood net bags

Our olive wood is a by product of the olive industry where there is a constant pruning and replanting process on the farms that produces lots of waste woods.

The barrow bag is the most convenient to handle of bulk bags of wood as can be moved by a sack barrow available at most DIY stores or Garden Centres and fit through most garden gates and down most side alleys. If we deliver in one of our company vans we can move to the garden, garage or shed as long as there is safe access for a sack barrow. Unfortunately our drivers are not insured to take through the house for health & safety reasons.

Olive Wood Logs Facts

  • Olive wood is very hard and is prized for its durability, colour, high combustion temperature and interesting grain patterns.
  • Olives are one of the most extensively cultivated fruit crops in the world. In 2011 there were about 9.6 million hectares planted with olive trees, which is more than twice the amount of land devoted to apples, bananas or mangoes
  • The ten largest producing countries, according to the Food and Agriculture Organization, are all located in the Mediterranean region and produce 95% of the world's olives.
  • In situations where extreme cold has damaged or killed the olive tree the rootstock can survive and produce new shoots which in turn become new trees. In this way olive trees can regenerate themselves
